Saves, Supports and Sustains Life

Between 2000 and 2011 More than 2,700,000,000 people were affected, and over US $1,300,000,000,000 was lost due to Disasters.

ShipEco Marine's aim is to develop a preliminary design for a Disaster Response Vessel (DRV) to be deployed in the aftermath of any coastal-based Natural Disaster in order to:

  • save
  • support
  • and sustain lives
Project TRIAGE and the International Disaster Rescue concept will co-ordinate the financing and building of a fleet of DRV's for global roll-out. The DRV provides an instant platform from which to launch search and rescue operations, together with the relevant power and communications infrastructure. Water, food, shelter, medical facilities, and trained staff would be available directly to the disaster site to support humanitarian efforts in rebuilding critical infrastructure quickly,  and to bring society back to some form of normality.

The preliminary design will focus on providing triage support, onboard accident and emergency hospital facilities, inter-organisational cross link communications support, air operational support, food, and utilities-to-beach including; water, gas (or oil), electricity, and other clean fuels, as well as the international maritime organisation standard vessel support systems for such a marine innovation.
