The impact of climate change on our fragile planet has brought about a
requirement by all countries to establish measures which allow for sustainable
development and economic progress, while providing for the long term protection
of the environment. Such efforts are critical for the planet and what happens today will
have a very great influence on what exists tomorrow and long into the
future. Decisions need to be made
now.
Project Beta is a proposal which will not only be of enormous economic
and environmental benefit to London, and to its people, but will also bring
about the regeneration of large areas of the region.
Project Beta incorporates the conversion of urban solid waste (paper, plastics and other combustable materials) into gas,
including all associated infrastructure, the construction or refurbishing of
associated vessels and the construction of Pellet Supply Vessels (PSVs) to transport the household waste pellets known as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Pellets.
