Oil & Gas History

During the 1980's and over a period of about 30 years, key members of the ShipEco Marine team developed, designed, financed and built a number of innovative vessels listed below for the North Sea oil and gas industry, the new energy industry of its time. Martyn Deaner was originally a commercial saturation deep sea diver who after his diving career came up with a safe method of installing a saturation diving system onto a vessel to create a new concept known as the Diving Support Vessel. These vessels improved the safety of divers at the time and was a paradigm shift in saving lives of other divers during the late 70's and 80's, with inventions such as the split level saturation diving systems and the hyperbaric lifeboat. The following portfolio lists vessels that Martyn Deaner and colleagues have developed, designed and financed over the past 30 years or more. Today we are in a new world and cleaner new energies need to be found to provide a sustainable future of living for all. The following links enable you to learn more about the vessels, what they were designed for, and where they are still successfully operating under different owners today.
